the studio

A number of people have been asking me about my new office lately. Let’s just say that it is a little different to working on Auckland’s Queen Street!
While I still work in an historic building, the location could not be further afield. This turn of the century Edwardian Villa is set on a sunny hill in Nelson’s CBD. My large top floor studio has a wonderful view over the Nelson Cathedral.
When working on a computer for a length of time, it is an important exercise for the eyes to have a long distance view. When designing, plenty of natural light is vital for good colour selection. Cafés, bars and restaurants in the vicinity is always a bonus!

Above is a wonderful photo of the residence taken circa 1900.
